Wellington, NV - Yerington, NV - Wellington, NV
This ride is a very flat and scenic ride through the farmland of Smith Valley. There are a couple of hills, most notably through Wilson Canyon. With the exception of the hills here the ride is very flat. This is a very nice ride for tandems. The route out to Yerington takes you the back way through farmland and ranches. Remember to take Wellington cutoff to and turn left on route 338. Then look for Saroni road then it is on to Grant View and Hudson Aurora before turning right on route 208 through Wilson Canyon. Be sure to bear to the right when the road splits. Route 339 from Mason forks to the left. Then it is on to Mackenzie Lane for about 8-10 miles till you get to Sciarani Road. Turn left and head into Yerington. This road becomes Bridge Street and will take you right into town. Get something to eat and refill your bottles before either returning the way you came or heading out to Route 339. Turn left here and travel South through Mason, NV until you reach the junction of Route 208. Stay on this and head back to Wellington the same way you came in. You can stay on 208 all the way back but I would suggest the route mentioned before because the traffic can be quite heavy at times. This is a great ride for days when you want a more leisurely pace.
